Candlelight Geelong
24 February – 25 March

Experience some of the most iconic classical music performances like you’ve never seen before at this outdoor concert series, held under the stars at the stunning Geelong Botanic Gardens.

Surrounded by the gentle glow of candlelight, you’ll listen to musical masterpieces created by the brilliant minds of Vivaldi, Mozart, Hans Zimmer and even ABBA’s greatest hits!

North Bellarine Film Festival
25-26 February

For the movie buffs, the North Bellarine Film Festival is coming to the Potato Shed in Drysdale, showcasing a showstopping program of international and Australian feature and short films.

The festival opens with The Lobster, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman.

Winning and runner-up films from the festival will be screened at the award ceremony on Saturday night, in a celebration of some of Victoria’s best young filmmakers.

Pako Festa 2022
26 February

Since 1983, Pako Festa has been bringing people together to celebrate the music, dance, language, art and food of the many cultures that call Geelong home.

This year’s festivities will be held at the Northern Community Hub, rather than the usual Pakington Street location. But, what won’t be changing is the diverse program, which is set to feature stage entertainment, film screenings, outdoor dining experiences and culturally inspired sporting activities for kids.

2022 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival
4-6 March 2022

Start your engines, the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is rolling into town! This action-packed festival will see over 600 quirky, valuable, and fascinating vehicles parked on Geelong’s spectacular waterfront for car enthusiasts to admire.

There’ll also be live music, trade stalls, delicious food, entertainment, and of course, the historic quarter-mile sprints down Ritchie Boulevard!

A Day on the Green Midnight Oil
5 March

Aussie rockers Midnight Oil are coming to Mt Duneed Estate for A Day on the Green as part of their ‘Resist: The Final Tour’. The band will be farewelling fans in style, performing classic Oils songs from across their repertoire and showcasing some new works.

The gig at Mt Duneed Estate will also feature a broad array of Australian sounds including a very special appearance by fellow ’80s trailblazers Goanna and acclaimed singer-songwriters All Our Exes Live in Texas.

If you’re a fan, you won’t want to miss the final opportunity to see this iconic Aussie band live!

Wooden Boat Festival
11-14 March

Geelong’s biennial Wooden Boat Festival is making a comeback this Labour Day weekend in March, with activities and fun for the whole family!

The event has expanded since it last hit the water. This year, as well as all the wonderful wooden boats on display at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, visitors will be able to enjoy plenty of free entertainment on the waterfront.

Festival-goers will be able to see mighty tall ships cruise Corio Bay, along with couta boats, classic yachts, rowing and motorboats. There’ll also be a fantastic array of activities for kids, with tall ships to climb on, pirate ships to look at and even a visit from Jack Sparrow!

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to get up close and experience these magnificent vessels, as Geelong puts on a show to celebrate the history, tradition and heritage of wooden boats.
