Chants Summer Carnival

The Chants Summer Carnival is back and bigger and better than ever before!
Jammed packed with rides, showbags and games, this year’s carnival is a must-do if you’re looking for some family-friendly fun! For three fantastic weeks, the carnival will be at the Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre site (Corner of Rossack Drive & Princes Highway).

Geelong’s Floating Christmas Tree Sound and Light Show
Daily from 5 November – 7 January 2022
The spectacular 25m Floating Christmas Tree in Geelong is back, bringing festive cheer to the bay! Sound and light shows are being staged daily, every 15 minutes from 8:30pm. The tree is a fantastic spot to visit with the kids, a magical way to kick off your festive season.
Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize
Daily from 6 November 2021 – 20 February 2022
One for the art lovers… In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Archibald Prize, Archie 100 explores the history of Australia’s most prestigious portrait award.
The exhibition is on display exclusively at the Geelong Gallery and presents a diverse selection of Archibald portraits from the last century, honouring the artists who have made the prize the most sought-after accolade in Australian art today.
2021 Christmas Projections
Daily from 12 November – 7 January 2022
Keeping the festive spirit twinkling, everyone’s favourite Christmas-themed projections will once again light up City Hall this summer as part of Christmas In Geelong.
The digital wonderland will screen nightly from 8:30pm until 11:30pm, and will also be available to watch online if you’d like to experience the magic from home.
Geelong Arts Centre x Melbourne Fringe Takeover

Melbourne Fringe will hit Geelong Arts Centre from December 1 – 2 with six performances of three fabulous shows over two nights.

Piccadilly Christmas Market

Help support local in the lead up to Christmas and stop by the Piccadilly Christmas Market at Barwon Valley Activity Centre for a spot of shopping.
Get together with friends and family and help support local makers, with plenty of Christmas goodies and lots of original gift ideas on offer. There will also be plenty of food operators outside the venue to fuel you as you shop. Entry is $2 for adults 16+.
